12/6: Nutmeg Night at Chase Family and Bison Charge in Vestal on tap for AE

Well, when one of your top teams blows a 19 point first half lead, you really start getting worried about the conference overall. As AE fans, we need to move and get excited for the next day. Only problem is it doesn't help when the two teams playing the next day are a combined 0-14. I love being a NY Mets and AE fan!

Quinnipiac vs. Hartford - 7 pm

The Chase Family Arena is the spot for a Connecticut showdown. This will be the first of back to back games for the Q against the America East. The Bobcats come into the game having lost three of their last four. Senior James Johnson and sophomore Ike Azotam are the key players for Quinnipiac. Both players are averaging over 14 points a game, while Azotam is also averaging 11 boards a game. Not a good thing for Hartford, especially when you are ranked 318th in the country in rebounding and your top rebounder is averaging only 4.5 rebounds per game (freshman Nate Sikma). Quinnipiac is 1-2 against Connecticut teams this season. Should be an interesting game, but disappointing for Hartford fans.

Bucknell vs. Binghamton - 7 pm

This is the third game of a three game road stretch for Bucknell. They are 0-2 on the trip, losing to George Mason and LaSalle. It is one of two games this season against the America East, as they will take on BU later in December. Junior Mike Muscala is going to be the key player for the Bison, as he is averaging 12 points a game this season. However, Bucknell has had issues putting up points, so expect a low scoring game. If Binghamton is going to want to compete, they will have to win the battle on the boards. Both teams rank in the Top 200 nationally in rebounding, but are both above the Top 200 in scoring. It will take a lot for the Bearcats, but miracles can happen. But remember, this is the AE.

Issues

It’s definitely an issue when three of the teams in your conference don’t have wins by December 6th.
